Hello

Hello everyone! I'm Mitch and I'm a senior majoring in communication arts. I'm from a tiny town called Fredonia, which is right next to Port Washington, WI so I usually just tell people I'm from there. Since I'm from Wisconsin it's no surprise I'm a huge Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan. I also had the opportunity to run a small business over my summer vacation this past summer. It was one of the hardest and yet rewarding experiences of my life. Another little fun fact about me is that I love white t-shirts and wear one every day.

In my free time I like to do just about anything outdoors (bicycling, hiking, sports, etc.) as well as cooking, watching tv and movies, and some yoga. I also enjoy traveling and pretty much just doing anything with my family and friends. I'm not sure what I want to do exactly with my future yet but I'm optimistic about what is yet to come.

Yoyoyoyo

My name is Klay, I am an UBER-Senior, on year number 6 in this joyous
CommArts programme. I learn things at school, then promptly forget them in about 6 months while also selling time bits of my life at work for money. I like going out with my friends, general rabble-rousing, carousing, gallivanting, and various nerdy activities. I enjoy pretentious foreign films and awful B movies, mind bending literature, and stupid fantasy and sci-fi books, writing, music, climbing trees, exploring consciousness, etc.

Oh hey there.

My name is Caissa, but I'm also known as C.C. if that's easier. I'm a senior Com Arts major from the city of Milwaukee. My projected sit-on-Abe-statue/walk-across-Kohl-Center-stage date is next December. Even though that's more than a year away, I'm still a little scared about what lies ahead for me.

For the first time since junior year of high school, I don't have internet access in my place. It's in an effort to save money, I guess. Like half of the university, however, I do have a smartphone (I'm surprised the percentage wasn't bigger), so that's the next best thing.

When I'm not in class or working, I like to write, spend way too much time on the internet (which...actually might be good for this class), play video games (I'm currently playing Pokemon Yellow, a blast from the past), and work out. I've also been spending time in the technical theater world, and I love it.

And my day doesn't start correctly if I'm not up at 6a.m. to watch the local morning news. Don't ask me why I do it; I'm not even sure why sometimes. But I still need coffee.

Blog Post #1

Hi everyone,

My name is Lauren and I'm a senior Com Arts major (Radio, TV & Film) from Milwaukee, WI. I'm excited to finally graduate in May and hopefully move out to California to work in the entertainment industry! Some of my interests include traveling, yoga, and of course music- I sing vocals for a rock & roll band. See you all on Tuesday!

Hi, from your TA!

Hi, I'm Danny, your TA for CA346 discussion section. I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you and I think it should be a great semester. What's not to love about a class about the internet? I hope you have a good time and/or learn some stuff-- hopefully both, that's the plan at least. As for me, I'm researching internet law and policy and I like cycling, good food, indie music, and my hometown college football team (ask me if you want to know, but, sorry, it's not the Badgers...). That's all for now-- see you all in section!

Welcome to CA346

Hi folks! Thought I'd post a quick introduction while I'm setting up your section blog. I'm Liz, I'm your lecturer, and I'm really excited about teaching this course! I've added some new stuff about social networks and online celebrity, and I think you'll really like the practicum project options.

On a more personal note, my research is on internet media and disability, and I like running, cats, watching MTV, and I am totally addicted to my Twitter feed.

See you soon!
