Yo Yenta - Practicum 2 - Cara

The second website I have decided to get involved in is yoyenta.com This is a blog about "jewish mothering from the edge." The blog is authored by Jessica Leigh Lebos, or as she calls herself "the Head Yenta". I will refer to Jessica as Head Yenta from here on out because firstly, I find it amusing and secondly Jessica refers to herself that way. Head Yenta is a a self-described "wife, mother, writer, spoken word poet, West African dance teacher, community activist and amateur social scientist living on the edge (geographically, religiously, financially, and culturally)."

In her about me, Head Yenta says that she "aims to break down stereotypes about Jews in general and Jewish mothers in particular." I am curious to see how Head Yenta plans to attack stereotypes about Jews. I plan to follow Head Yenta's entries on a regular basis. It will be good to check out comments on entries and maybe I will add a few comments myself.
