"Schmogmander" is the boys' gamertag, I didn't ask. From there, we played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare...unfortunately this COD has no zombies:/ When Race and I played, my other brother was still at school, but we played with him on Live...so all of us were playing! I wasn't great, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to impress my brothers, prove them wrong. However, although I didn't have as many kills as normal and died a few more times than I normally do, I was playing alright. I knew all about the guns, what buttons did what, and all about the different matches. Needless to say, I felt pretty cool. We played Team Deathmatch, so the object is to kill as many people from the other team as possible. They come back to life after you kill them, but you want the most points and you get the points by shooting other people. Surprisingly I'm kind of good at headshots and we get extra points for that. (It's never intentional that I shoot the enemy in the head, they're just really close to me by the time I shoot them.) My brothers were a bit frustrated with me because I wasn't as good as them, actually I was the worst one playing in that match because at the end of the game they ranked us...but I did pull some weight.
The best part about playing Xbox with my brothers, besides the bonding time, was that they stuck up for me. I had the headset on and when people talked shit to me, the inappropriate stuff, my brothers would interject. I think it was a bit much for them though, because the next game we muted the players so we couldn't hear them and their gross comments pertaining to me.
This past weekend I played some XBox live, and i was shocked at how rude people were! I honestly thought i would get maybe one or two rude comments, then continue playing the game (NCAA Football 2011), but people, specifically young boys, were focused almost completely on making sexist and vulgar slurs. It was funny for a while, then i had to mute everyone because it was a huge distraction from the game. This is obviously something that is impossible to control, but it's a shame nonetheless.
