Practicum #6 Hannah

Today I tried to engage in the chatting of Kongregate community. It was interesting to explore the chat rooms. The topic was really random and often changed. It seemed like some people know each other but there were multiple conversations going on at the same. You could see each person’s profile that was participating and see which game they were currently playing. When I first entered the chat I said ‘hey’ and one or two people replied, but when I asked about their favorite games many replied! About 90 percent of the time I had no idea what they were talking about but it did help a little figuring out games were fun. My original assumption about the chats was that the participants would be creepy weird techy people (no offense to anyone) and chat rooms in general kind of freak me out. I didn’t stay very long, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought.
