History of the Internet Video Response

This video did a great job of explaining the history of the internet that we talked about in lecture last week. The video gave a detailed summary of the events leading up to the development of the internet and presented all of the information in a very clear and concise manner. One of the main parts of this video that got my attention was at the beginning when they discussed how the internet was first beginning in 1957 and it could only perform one task at a time. Thinking about todays computers and how many different programs and internet pages I have up all at once, makes this idea of only performing one function at a time seem completely crazy! Another interesting aspect of the video was the description of the different steps and stages in the development of the internet. I never really thought about all of the stages in this process because from as far back as I can remember the internet has always just been there and available for use. The visuals were also really helpful and made clear all of the technical information from lecture.
